Tech Tools: OnePlus X

Could the OnePlus X be the company’s best phone yet? It’s certainly being touted as such. With echoes of the iPhone design, the OnePlus X is offered in baked ceramic or glass backplates, comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera and a five-inch AMOLED screen.

On the front, you get an eight-megapixel camera for video calls and selfies. It comes with 16GB of internal memory, but you can expand that with a microSD card if you find you run low quickly. If you're a frequent traveller, the OnePlus X may also have a few features you like. Not only is it unlocked, but it can support two nano SIM cards at the same time, so you can switch when you need to. And it also comes with OxygenOS, which is arguably one of the cleanest versions of Android out there. You'll have to sign up for invites, though, so prepare to be patient. oneplus.net
