Tech Tools: EyeForcer tackles ‘tech neck’ in tech-savvy kids

New device claims to help correct the smartphone slouch

Have you ever heard of “tech neck”? How about “GameBoy disease”? Apparently it’s a development in children who are now so used to slouching over their gadgets that they are suffering back and neck problems. The solution, apparently, is a device called the EyeForcer. The name sounds a little like an instrument of torture but the creator of the EyeForcer say it will promote “proper use” of electronics. In other words, sit up, back straight, and if you start to slouch it will warn you before eventually shutting down your app, although currently that feature is only on Android. It looks like a pair of glasses with no lenses.
