If you’re into 3D printing, you might have the need for a 3D scanner.

How about one that fits your smartphone? The Eora 3D scanner connects to your smartphone and, using an app, will digitise almost anything you need, sending it to your 3D printer.

The Eora 3D scanner uses a green laser, which is said to be more accurate, and it is also supplied with a tripod mount.

Combine that with a range of 1m, and you have a portable 3D scanner that can cover everything from small objects to large surfaces.

The app is available for both iOS and Android, and you can combine it Eora’s turntable to make sure that you have covered all of the angles.
