Latest camera will appeal to the advanced amateur

Canon has unveiled its latest digital SLR, the 80D. The latest camera will appeal to the advanced amateur – who doesn't need to have their hand held when tackling challenging conditions, but likewise doesn't need the technology (and heft) that the full frame professional 1D brings – and probably the semi-pro snapper. And it's friendlier on your wallet too. So what does the 80D bring to the table? The camera comes with a 24.2 megapixel sensor and the ability to shoot full HD movies. It boasts 45 autofocus points and can capture still photos at a rate of seven frames per second. If you're into vlogging, the microphone and headphone inputs will come in handy, and it's got built-in wifi and NFC, so you can connect to your share photos quickly and easily. All you'll have to do is invest in some lenses for the camera, a hobby that can quickly become expensive. canon.ie
