There are plenty of options for headphones these days, from budget earbuds to high-end studio headsets that will set you back a nice chunk of change. Skullcandy has decided it needs a range of headphones designed with women in mind. That means everything from the acoustics and engineering to the design. And that's usually where we get suspicious because "designed for women" can often mean "make it pink/sparkly".

The Knockout over ear headphones are available in floral print, robin and a quilted black finish – no pink in sight. For those of us with smaller heads, the band itself doesn’t have quite the vice grip on your head that others do, so the headphones are comfortable to wear. And after a bit of adjustment of the cables, the sound was pretty decent. Plus they fold up into their own carry case, making them convenient to carry around.
