First there was the Amazon Echo. Then Google unveiled the Google Home speaker, and Apple introduced the Home Pod. Plus, there has been a whole host of speakers from Lenovo and others with Google Assistant or Alexa built in. Last week Samsung got in on the smartspeaker act, unveiling the Galaxy Home. It is Bixby enabled – Samsung's version of Siri, Alexa or Google Assistant – and has a much-publicised Spotify tie-in. Lookswise, it's a bit bigger than the Echo or Home, with three legs that support the rounded speaker. Six speakers tuned by AKG, eight far-field mics to pick up your voice, a subwoofer and Soundsteer, which targets the audio towards your physical location in the room all combine to make this a decent Bluetooth speaker in its own right. There's no price or release date yet though. samsung.com
