Sega Forever brings classics to smartphone

Pop quiz, hotshot. What was one of the best things about the nineties? Don’t say Friends because that sitcom zombie is still lurching about on our TV screens (you cannot kill that which has no soul). Okay, all those Keanu movies were pretty great but I’m talking about Sega. Nineties kids rejoice because all Sega classics are coming to iOS and Android. For free!

Sega Forever is a collection of free (ad supported) classic Sega games for mobile devices. Sonic the Hedgehog, Phantasy Star II, Comix Zone along with a couple of others are currently available but Sega promises to bring out more titles each month until “nearly every Sega game ever released from the console era” is on offer. This includes games from the Dream Cast as well as the Mega Drive and Genesis. I hope they release Kung Fu Kid because …I know Kung Fu.
