Legato to create 60 jobs in Limerick as it plans R&D hub

Health services provider Legato Health Technologies is to establish a research and development hub in Limerick, creating 60 jobs in the next six months as it accelerates its growth.

The company, which develops solutions that promote high value and access to healthcare, is seeking to fill roles for data scientists and artificial intelligence (AI) engineers.

The Irish-based team will be involved in building applications and AI solutions to make healthcare simple, affordable and accessible.

"At Legato we are applying cutting edge data science and engineering technologies to solve complex problems to improve the healthcare of humanity. We are looking for talent who want to work on the types of projects that will make an impact, and we are thrilled to be here setting up our operations in Limerick," said the president of Legato Health Technologies Rajat Puri.

The new facility will be based at Limerick’s National Technology Park, and will facilitate hybrid work arrangements.

The news was welcomed by Tánaiste Leo Varadkar. "The midwest has a strong talent pool which will allow Legato's new hub to thrive. Firms like Legato are vital to the future of global healthcare."

The investment is being supported by IDA Ireland. The chief executive of the agency, Martin Shanahan, said client companies based in the midwest benefit from the region's highly skilled and talented workforce.
