Full Tilt Poker’s operation in Ireland sees rise in profits

Rational FT Services pretax profits increase to €3.3m, up from €1.9m the previous year

Website Full Tilt Poker’s Irish arm earned more than €3 million in profits last year, according to accounts just filed by the Dublin-based business.

Turnover at Rational FT Services, the Irish company that provides information technology, marketing and customer support to Full Tilt, fell almost 8 per cent last year to €36 million from €39 million in 2013.

Pretax profits almost doubled to €3.3 million in 2014 from €1.9 million the previous year. After tax, the company had a surplus of €3 million, compared to €1.7 million in the prior 12 months. The company employed 343 people last year, slightly up on the 331 on its payroll in 2013. Employment has grown from 175 in 2012 when the Rational Group took it over initially.

The jobs are mainly in information technology, content management, data analysis, engineering, finance and other roles.

Net assets at the end of the year were €2 million. The figures show other group companies owed it more than €3 million. Rational FT owed almost €5 million to its creditors. The Rational Group owns Full Tilt and its former rival Pokerstars. It employs 1,500 across a number of countries and is licensed in the Isle of Man.
