Flappy Bird creator hints game may fly again

The creator of Flappy Bird has said he is thinking about bringing the game back.

Dong Nguyen, a Hanoi-based game developer, grounded the game last month, removing it from Apple's App Store because it had become "an addictive product".

But now, in an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, the developer said he was “considering” bringing it back.

Flappy Bird caused a sensation after rising out of obscurity to become one of the most downloaded mobile games on both Apple and Google's online stores.

Users have to steer a bird between green pipes. The Android version has been downloaded up to 50 million times, and attracted more than half a million reviews.

He said the game, which was inspired by Nintendo’s Mario Bros, earned on average $50,000 a day from advertising at its peak.
