Excel Rollup to pitch at London event

Start-up provides means of monitoring spreadsheets for human error

NDRC’s technology start-up programme aimed at the financial services sector has named its first winner with Excel Rollup taking the top honours at FinTech’s pitch competition.

The start-up, which provides a way to monitor an extensive number of spreadsheets for human error, will now go forward to pitch at the Wired Money event taking place in London next week.

The event brings together investors with start-ups and entrepreneurs in the financial sector.

Excel Rollup will be the first Irish company to pitch on the event’s start-up stage.

The firm was selected as winner after pitching its idea to a panel comprised of both the global tech and financial communities.

These communities included State Street's Declan McCarthy, Adrian Mullett from Bank of Ireland, Enterprise Ireland's Billy Hanley, Luc Simoncini from Mediolanum International Funds and EY's Patricia Stack.

The start-up company was up against nine other participants in the programme.

The programme lasted five weeks, and was designed to give start-ups the chance to develop products and gauge the potential.
