The latest Adventure Time surpasses recent cartoon tie-ins such as Turbo simply by being competent and playable. In the land of Ooo you must help the spoilt Princess Bubblegum round up escaped prisoners and track down lost treasures. This amounts to descending to dungeons, fighting cute monsters (slapstick skeletons, for example) and finding lost objects. You can play as different characters, each of whom has marginally different skills. This is essentially a kid-friendly introduction to the role-playing game, with third- person, top-down exploration and combat, power-up menus and multiple interactive characters. The controls are imperfect, blocking is clunky, and seasoned players might find it a little flat. But with quirky humour (from the cartoon's original writers) and local multiplayer, very young gamers will find it charming and amusing
