Systemhouse Technology, the Irish Internet security company, has announced a partnership with enterprise security company Symantec to supply Symantec's products in Ireland.

Mr Dermot Williams, chief executive of Systemhouse, said the deal would combine the company's local support structure and industry knowledge with Symantec's security software.

Systemhouse said the partnership had already encouraged several major Irish companies to reassess their security requirements and had secured new contracts, including Bank of Ireland.
