That ubiquitous entity - the survey - has produced some interesting findings about the priorities of the boating fraternity.
According to research by Boating magazine, 13 per cent of boat owners wouldn't jump overboard to save their spouse. However, 25 per cent would dive in to save a hat. And 66 per cent think women who like powerboats are prettier than women who like sailboats.
Another key finding: 28 per cent of boaters say they would buy a cologne named after a fish.
