Aer Lingus has entered an arrangement with US airline JetBlue which will see the two companies connect their websites.
Irish customers flying with Aer Lingus to JFK airport in New York will be able to book onward travel to more than 40 US destinations with JetBlue.
Mr Mannion said it would ensure passengers got the lowest fare possible at any given time.
