CLOUD COMPUTING company Salesforce.com announced yesterday that it is creating more than 100 jobs in the capital.

Salesforce.com, which already employs almost 300 people in Dublin, said yesterday that it is recruiting across all areas in order to meet new business demands and facilitate its continued expansion in Ireland.

The positions to be created include multilingual sales and technology roles, and will be based at its European corporate sales headquarters in Sandyford.

“These jobs are being created in response to major growth and demand for our cloud computing services across EMEA ,” said Steve Garnett of Salesforce.com.

“Ireland has played a key role in the success of Salesforce.com. We have been delighted with the calibre, flexibility and commitment of our Irish employees and we believe Ireland continues to be a highly attractive location for high-tech industries,” he added.

This investment will strengthen Ireland’s position as a cloud computing centre, the company said.

Cloud computing is an increasingly popular technology that enables computer users to access data and software over the internet.
