International planning consultants RPS says the weak state of public finances in Ireland has continued to put pressure on its business.

Public-sector spending cutbacks have resulted in a fall in profits at the consultancy firm. The group saw profit before tax and amortisation fall 8.6 per cent from £52.5 million in 2009 to £48 million last year.
