Leisure and hospitality group Press Up is to bring bowling to Dundrum as it expands its Stella concept with a new eight-lane bowling alley at the shopping centre.
Stella Bowl will anchor the new dining and leisure area at Dundrum Town Centre, with a 15,661sq ft bowling alley, cocktail bar and diner concept. The move follows the group's Stella cinema and diner in Rathmines.
The bowling alley is to move into the unit vacated by Hamleys toy store and will anchor a new dining and entertainment destination within the Pembroke District at Dundrum Town Centre, which is already home to restaurants such as Jamie’s Italian and Five Guys. The bowling alley is expected to open in the first quarter of 2020.
Fallon & Byrne is also set to open a new 10,000sq ft speciality food hall on Ashgrove Terrace in the district, while a host of other new restaurants, including Leon, a multiple award-winning healthy fast food chain, PF Chang’s, an Asian restaurant concept, and Japanese Kitchen by J2 Sushi, which serves fusion and Japanese favourites sushi and bento.
Press Up, founded by Paddy McKillen jnr and and his business partner Matt Ryan in 2009, now owns and operates 34 businesses in Ireland, employing some 1,000 people. Its brands include Elephant & Castle, which will shortly open a new outlet in Monkstown, south Dublin, and Union Cafe, which has just opened a new branch in Sandyford.
