Accenture announces 300 new jobs in Ireland

Jobs announcement includes 100 roles at newly-opened ‘The Dock’ research centre

Accenture has announced 300 new jobs in Ireland. The professional services company will be looking for technology and design professionals, including 100 people for roles at The Dock, its research and incubation hub, which officially opened in Dublin on Friday.

Taoiseach Enda Kenny said Accenture was a “committed long-term resident” of Ireland.

The new jobs will add to Accenture’s Irish workforce of more than 2,200, and focus on areas including artificial intelligence, advanced analytics into the Internet of Things, and industries including financial services, retail, consumer goods, life sciences and utilities.

"Our talented professionals across Ireland are imagining the future every day to solve some of the biggest challenges facing businesses, governments and consumers," said Pierre Nanterme, Accenture chairman and chief executive.

Martin Shanahan, chief executive of the IDA, said the announcement greatly enhanced Ireland’s position as a base for global professional service firms, an area it continued to target for inward investment.

Accenture is a global professional services company providing services and solutions in strategy, consulting, digital, technology and operations.

It has three Irish locations, and maintains what it says is a strong commitment to inclusion and diversity, including gender equality.
