THE QUINN Insurance board is headed by chief executive Colin Morgan (38) who has been a director of the company since 2004.
Brendan Moran (39) holds the position of finance director, while Seán Quinn jnr (31) is operations director. Jim Quigley (65) is the board’s non-executive chairman.
The board’s non-executive directors include Vincent Clancy (68) and Tony McCusker (61). Mr McCusker joined the company in January 2009 as part of a significant board reshuffle announced at the time.
He previously worked in the Northern Ireland civil service.
The reshuffle also saw Quinn Group chief executive Liam McCaffrey (47) step down from the board of Quinn Insurance, along with Quinn Group development director Kevin Lunney (41). At the time the company said this was done to enable them to “focus on their senior executive roles in Quinn Group”.
The board restructuring formed part of a process to “ensure that Quinn Insurance implements corporate governance structures that are more independent of the wider Quinn Group”, it said, and to bring it in line with the structures of a publicly-listed company.
Richard Stafford (37) and Shane Morrison (37) also stepped down from the board at that time but retained their senior executive positions within Quinn Insurance.
Paddy Mullarkey (71) left the board in May last year, followed by Seán Quinn snr (63) in October 2008. The latest addition to the board is Niall Scolard (53) who became a director in August 2008.
