The strength of the property boom was confirmed yesterday with new figures showing national house prices rose by a hefty 20.5 per cent in November from a year earlier.

In its latest survey on the property market, the State's largest mortgage lender Irish Life & Permanent said prices in Dublin rose 20.3 per cent in the year to date and were up 18.9 per cent elsewhere.
