Oil prices rose yesterday aided by renewed tensions between Iraq and Kuwait and signs that the EU will not follow the US lead in releasing emergency oil reserves to cool off the market. International benchmark Brent crude for November delivery moved 48 cents higher at $30.32. US light crude futures were up 54 cents at $31.38 in electronic ACCESS trade.
