CHINESE aerospace company, Aviation Industries of China (AVIC), has no interest in acquiring heavily loss making Dutch aircraft maker Fokker NV, an official of the company's international trade department said.

"Up to now we have no plans to purchase Fokker," the official said. "We have indeed sent a delegation to Fokker in the Netherlands but this is part of our regular business exchanges," he said.

AVIC has been in co operation with Fokker for about 10 years with projects in several areas, mainly in production of aircraft parts, he said.
