TV3's The Great Irish Bake Off polished off its second run last week with an average of 207,000 viewers tuning into last week's final.
The broadcaster says it is now "discussing the possibility of a third season of the hit baking show" with Sideline, the independent production company that makes the Irish version of the BBC-owned format.
"A lot was learnt from the first series so this year was a step up from last year with regards to overall production and the standard of bakers," says TV3 Group's director of content Jeff Ford.
During the series, contestants produced bakes with such tantalising titles as Jenga Tower with Chocolate & Halva Mousse and Pink Champagne Surprise Chiffon Cake.
However, the numbers who tuned in to see Tracy Coyne crowned Ireland's best amateur baker were down slightly on the 240,000 who watched the 2013 final, which aired in the more baking-friendly (and ratings-friendly) month of November.
