Storyful founder and former RTÉ journalist Mark Little has joined Twitter in a senior role on its media team.
Mr Little will become Twitter’s vice-president of media for Europe and Africa and he will be based in Twitter’s Dublin office, which employs more than 200 people.
“He brings experience, passion and a lovely Irish accent!” tweeted Twitter’s vice-president of global media Katie Jacobs Stanton.
Twitter has been my passion for years. Now, it's my job. So excited to join @KatieS and the inspirational Twitter media team.

In June, Mr Little left Storyful, the social media news agency he set up, having sold it to Rupert Murdoch's News Corp for €18 million in December 2013.
His appointment follows a period of management turmoil at Twitter, which saw co-founder and former chief executive Jack Dorsey re-appointed as chief executive, replacing Dick Costolo.
The company announced last month that it will axe 336 jobs, which is approximately 8 per cent of its workforce.
