An Post puts PR contract out to tender

Company also tendering for PR support for sponsorship programmes

An Post has put the contract for its corporate and consumer public relations out to tender. The company, which employs almost 10,000 people, has also published a tender for public relations support for its sponsorship programmes for the next two years.

An Post sponsors a number of cycling events in Ireland, including the An Post Rás. The PR account for this sponsorship activity is currently held by Wilson Hartnell Public Relations, while other corporate PR services are provided by the Reputations Agency.

In-house communications

The winning contractors will work alongside An Post’s in-house communications team, and the deadline for responses to the tender is September 6th.

With its core mail business in decline, An Post is bidding to sell more products and services through the post office network in the years ahead. It also intends to charge more for postal services and reduce its operational costs.
