McCann Fitzgerald recruits Luas Cross City adviser

Brendan Slattery joins law firm after roles on the Corrib gas project and the Aviva Stadium

Law firm McCann FitzGerald has announced the appointment of Brendan Slattery as a partner to head its environmental and planning group.

Mr Slattery brings almost 20 years’ experience in the areas of environment, planning and climate change. He is recognised as an expert in both planning and environmental law at national and EU level.

McCann Fitzgerald said he had advised regulatory authorities, statutory bodies, local authorities and developers on the delivery of a wide range of local and national projects.

In recent years, he has advised on a number of projects across the State spanning the areas of energy, transport, water, wastewater and the agri-business sector. They include the Corrib gas project; the Luas Cross City; the Aviva Stadium; the incinerator at Duleek; and the redevelopment of RTÉ’s Montrose campus. Mr Slattery will take up his new role on May 1st.

McCann FitzGerald managing partner Barry Devereux said Mr Slattery would bring “vast experience and specialist knowledge in environmental and planning law”.
