Josephine Tierney has resigned as finance director of CPL Resources.

In a statement to the Stock Exchange yesterday, the recruitment group said Ms Tierney had given notice of her resignation from the board of directors and as finance director.

CPL said Ms Tierney had decided to step down from the board to pursue other opportunities after almost 12 years with the company.

CPL’s chairman John Hennessy said Ms Tierney had made a significant contribution to the growth and success of the group.

“She has led the finance function successfully through periods of major growth and expansion, both in Ireland and overseas,” Mr Hennessy said.

Chief executive Anne Heraty said Ms Tierney had been an integral part of the group’s senior management team.

The Dublin and London-listed company said a search for Ms Tierney’s successor was already under way.
