Dublin based Multiprint Labels has been acquired by US label solutions provider Multi-Color Corporation.

Multiprint, which specialises in pressure sensitive beverage labels for Ireland and the UK,was established in 1965 and has annual revenues of approximately $7 million (€mn). It is based in Swords, Co. Dublin.

Following the transaction, Multiprint will continue to be run by John Woods, reporting to Multi-Color’s UK president, Alex Mulvenny.

“We are delighted to have John and team join MCC and provide us with a local operation in Ireland to serve our existing and potential customers there, as well as in the UK,” said Nigel Vinecombe, president and chief executive officer of Multi-Color.

Based in Cincinnati, Ohio, Multi-Color, established in 1916, supports a number of the world’s most prominent brands including leading producers of home and personal care, wine and spirit, food and beverage and specialty consumer products. MCC employs over 3,250 associates across 32 operations globally and is a public company trading on the NASDAQ Global Select Market.
