From January 1st 1999:
Bord Gais, ESB and Telecom Eireann will accept payment in euros;
Revenue Commissioners will accept tax payments in euros;
Companies can file accounts at the Companies Office in the new currency;

On request, banks will convert accounts into euros free of charge;
The Irish Stock Exchange will settle stocks currently traded and settled in pounds only in euros;
Dublin interbank interest rate DIBOR will be replaced by the EURIBOR;
Euro notes and coins will replace the pound as legal tender on or before July 1st, 2002.
