Limerick-based company, Piercom, has released its automated Year 2000 readiness software

Limerick-based company, Piercom, has released its automated Year 2000 readiness software. The company was chosen by Digital to assess and automatically remediate Digital applications worldwide.

The Piercom 2000, Digital version for COBOL was designed to address the problems posed by 2000. It helps to track dates through complex and obscure chains of reference. It was designed and tailored for Digital UNIX and Open VNS environments, and can automatically examine and correct source code with either a windowing or expansion solution.
