One More Thing:Young buck Mark McLaughlin, son of Davy boss Kyran, continues to quietly build his online and mobile phone event ticketing service in Britain.

Having already inked deals with Ryanair and London-based Premier League football team Fulham to sell tickets, he has just signed up with the Mama Group, an Aim-listed music company with 18 venues across the UK.

Ticket Text will sell tickets to Mama's venues, which include the 5,000-capacity Hammersmith Apollo, the Jazz Café, the Forum, Borderline in London and the 10 Barfly venues.

The deal is expected to generate ticket sales of up to 150,000 a year, with the Dublin company netting roughly €1 a ticket in profit.

There is also the potential for auxiliary revenues from SMS advertising and coupons.

Ticket Text's technology involves sending an bar code via SMS to a customers phone, dispensing with the need for paper tickets.

McLaughlin set up the company up with €5 million in backing.

Building the business will be tricky in a market dominated by Ticketmaster.

The rewards, however, could be great.

In January, eBay paid $310 million cash for online ticket reseller Stubhub.

Granted, that was before the stock market slump and the credit crunch but if McLaughlin can get traction, the rewards could be significant.
