The Irish Stock Exchange will reduce the settlement period for Irish trading from five to three working days from Monday.

The Irish Stock Exchange will reduce the settlement period for Irish trading from five to three working days from Monday.

The move aims to bring Ireland more in line with international practice and to eliminate paper certificates from the exchange's business. Irish investors, particularly those who trade irregularly and in small quantities, still use certificates.
