Iron Maiden star tops bill at Croke Park conference

Scream for me, conference delegates! Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson will be the keynote speaker at the National Leadership Summit in Croke Park next month.

His band have sold 80 million records and continue to sell out stadiums. In recent years, however, the singer has reinvented himself as an entrepreneur, commercial pilot and motivational speaker.

He put £1 million (€1.2 million) of his own money into Cardiff Aviation, an aircraft maintenance company in Wales. Dickinson said he was “delighted” to be asked to speak for the first time in Dublin.

He added: “ In many ways the world of rock and roll is not so very different from business. The degree of risk management and planning is surprisingly common to both.”

Tickets to the Leadership Summit, hosted by iQuest, are €495 plus Vat. Other speakers include: Tony Keohane, chairman of Tesco Ireland; Cathriona Hallahan, managing director of Microsoft Ireland; and Liam Griffin, managing director of the Griffin Hotel Group and ex-Wexford hurling manager.
