US stocks fell yesterday in deep, wide selling again driven by investor unease over two weeks of presidential election chaos and flagging growth among technology companies.

The Nasdaq Composite Index fell 116.2 to 2,755.2 while the Dow Jones Industrial Average gave up 95.18 points to end at 10,399.32.

The broader Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell 25 points to 1,322.25.

The Nasdaq composite ended just above the session low of 2,754.14, a new intraday low for 2000 and a bottom unseen since late October 1999. Yesterday also brought the lowest close for the composite year.

The declines come on the eve of the US Thanksgiving Day holiday. The stock markets are closed today and tomorrow will have a shortened trading session ending at 1pm EST (1800GMT).
