The Consumers' Association of Ireland (CAI) has criticised calls by the Irish Insurance Federation for the re-establishment of tax discrimination to discourage international discrimination in the Irish market. The CAI welcomed the equalisation of the tax code in the Budget which allows Irish consumers a choice in the life assurance market.
