Lab offers equipment to assist companies in developing prototypes for biomedical sector

A new advanced biomedical engineering laboratory has opened at Ulster University.

The lab is a strategic partnership between Invest Northern Ireland, Ulster University, Randox Laboratories and Heartsine Technologies.

It offers state-of-the-art equipment to assist companies in developing prototypes for the biomedical, engineering, electronic device and aerospace sectors.

The total investment is £7.3 million (€8 million). Invest NI has offered assistance of £3.7 million, with Ulster University contributing £2.9 million and a further £716,000 invested through industry collaborations with Randox and Heartsine.
