A former Tedcastles Energy executive is to head up listed investment fund Boundary Capital's management arm following a series of appointments at the group.

Donal Gordon, one-time director and general manager of the fuels group, has taken over as managing director and deputy chairman of Boundary Management.

Boundary Capital is a private equity investment fund listed on the Dublin and London markets, which operates by taking majority holdings in established companies with strong cash flows.

Boundary Management identifies potential investments, focusing on those with the potential to grow profits, and works with their managers to develop them. Mr Gordon was recruited for his experience in managing businesses. After his time at Tedcastles, he worked as chief executive of Desmond's International Clothing, a manufacturing business with €220 million in sales and 5,000 workers.

Niall McFadden, one of Boundary Capital plc's founders and executive chairman, worked with Mr Gordon in Tedcastles for a period.

Mark Buckley will take up the job of finance director at Boundary Management. He held the same role at directory enquiries group Conduit and before that worked in corporate banking with AIB. Declan Cassidy and Martin Cole will continue as investment directors at Boundary Management.

Boundary has stakes in listed building services group Siteserv, educational publisher CJ Fallon, and franchise operator ODC, among others.
