NAVAN Resources said last night that it had received final approval from the Spanish government to buy Minas de Almagrera, a state owned polymetalic mining concern. The company, which announced the acquisition in November, said the cost of the development of the mines would be significantly reduced because it owns another mining operation just 20 kilometres away.
