Beleaguered Dutch planemaker Fokker said that it had not given up hope of a rescue, but did not expect potential rescuers to make any bidding decisions until next week.

The 76 year old company said a meeting on Wednesday, at which it presented Dutch banks and other potential investors with a plan to relaunch the firm as an independent aircraft maker, had not yielded concrete results, but nor had help been rejected.

"The talks with diverse parties have, up until now, not led to the conclusion that a re start of Fokker is not feasible. Therefore, all efforts are continuing," the company said. Page 3.
