NTR appoints new chief executive

Renewable energy investor NTR has appointed a new chief executive, with Rosheen McGuckian taking up the role.

Ms McGuckian replaces Michael McNicholas, who is taking over as chief executive of Bord Gáis.

Prior to joining NTR in 2008, Ms McGuckian held the role of chief executive of GE Money in Ireland, and led the business transformation initiative for ESB Power Generation. She joined NTR as group corporate development director, holding chief executive positions at some of the group's businesses, and has also been responsible for business development, guiding NTR’s investment strategy. Ms McGuckian is also a non-executive director of the Irish Aviation Authority.

NTR chairman Tom Roche welcomed the appointment of Ms McGuckian.

"Rosheen has been instrumental in shaping the future direction of the company and is uniquely qualified to lead the team delivering on our strategy of investing in the renewable energy sector in the EU and US,” he said.
