Chairman of Irish-based Connemara Mining sounds upbeat note to shareholders at AGM

The Irish exploration sector can look forward to better times can look forward to better times after years in the doldrums, according to Irish-based Connemara Mining.

At the company’s AGM in Dublin today, chairman John Teeling said global zinc prices were rising while gold prices were stable, both of which boded well for the industry.

He also noted that $20 million had been raised by rival mining group Dalradian for gold exploration in Northern Ireland.

All resolutions put to the meeting were duly passed.

Separately, Great Western Mining Corporation, the AIM and ESM quoted, Nevada-based mineral exploration Company, announced that all resolutions were passed at its AGM held today.
