Eircom, through its international communication alliance AUCS, has secured a three-year contract worth up to £6 million (€1.3 million) to manage all pan-European traffic for AOL Europe's Call Centres in the Republic.

Under the terms of the contract, Eircom will supply a new intelligent call routing system as part of its ICCS application product. This will deliver all calls from AOL's European customer base to the most appropriate agent at its Dublin or Waterford centres regardless of location.

ICCS is an inbound, cross-border transportation service offered in 17 European countries. AUCS is an international communications alliance of KPN Netherlands, Telia Sweden, Swisscom and Infonet.
