Jane Suiter, has been promoted to the post of Economics Editor.

She will have primary responsibility for reportage and analysis of and comment on economic issues. She will also plan economics coverage in liaison with the Finance Editor, and establish policies and priorities in this regard.

A native of Dublin, she joined The Irish Times in 1996 and has served as finance reporter, economics reporter and economics correspondent.
