John Teeling told his African Gold shareholders about the problems of doing business in a country where Robert Mugabe is still the boss.

It seems that African Gold's miners spend a lot of their time stranded underground because of power shortages.

And a shortage of diesel means that using a generator to get the poor miners to the surface is "problematic".

That's sounds like a bit of an understatement.

Put in low gold prices, 70 per cent interest rates, civil unrest and a shortage of cash and it all adds up to an awful tale of woe.
