Datalex, the Howth-based provider of e-business solutions for the global travel industry, has signed a strategic alliance with US technology company, Worldspan.

As part of the alliance Worldspan has taken an undisclosed equity stake in Datalex and the two companies will promote each other's products.

The alliance will enable Datalex to use Worldspan's data centre in Atlanta as a hosting environment for many elements of Datalex's products.

And Datalex has licensed its Bookit! Consumer Internet booking engine to Worldspan under a five-year licensing agreement.
