US industrial holding company Alleghany Capital has bought Linesight, the Irish quantity surveyor and building project manager.

The pair confirmed on Monday that Alleghany subsidiary Integrated Project Services (IPS) has bought Linesight's Isle of Man-parent, Anchorbouy Ltd, for an undisclosed sum.

Headquartered in Dublin, Linesight manages building projects for data centers, pharmaceutical manufacturers, technology companies and a range of other industries in 24 countries.

Its new owner IPS provides the same services to biopharmaceutical and other manufacturers.

IPS's ultimate parent Alleghany Capital owns manufacturers Afco Steel, trailer and truck specialist Kentucky Trailer, machine tool maker Precision Cutting Technologies and other productive businesses.

Linesight's new owner is part of its non-industrial division, which includes hotel developer and manager, Concord Hospitality and toy firm, Jazwares, whose brands include Pokemon and Cabbage Patch Kids.
