M &M Enterprises, which has operated the shop for almost 30 years, also has a similar business at the top of Grafton Street, virtually opposite the entrance to the St Stephen’s Green shopping centre.
The sub-letting of the ground floor and basement of the premises comes just two months after the freehold interest in the building was sold to Signature Capital, an Irish-German real estate investment company for almost €3.5 million.
Lisney is seeking a rent of €165,000 for the ground floor shop and store which extend to 48.8sq m (525sq ft) and a further 42.2sq m (454sq ft) at basement level.
The upper floors of number 5 Grafton Street are sub-let to an internet café and tanning salon. M&M Enterprises pays a temporary abated rent of €240,000 for the premises rather than the contracted rent of €300,000
