Two detached houses and a site of 2.36 acres on Brighton Road in Foxrock are for sale at €10.25 million through Lisney.

They are being sold on the instructions of receiver Aiden Murphy (Crowe Horwath) and once belonged to developer David Agar who paid a reported €22 million in 2005 for the properties and another adjoining house on a combined 3.75-acre site.

The properties for sale are close to the heart of Foxrock village. They back on to Leopardstown race course and could potentially provide 20 homes (subject to planning permission).

One of the houses, Craughwell, stands on 0.42 acres and was previously the Kenyan embassy. This detached two-and-a-half storey five-bedroom house extends to 497sq m (5,353sq ft) and includes a housekeeper’s studio.

The other house, St Benedicts, sits on a 0.54-acre site and extends to 280sq m (3,014sq ft). It is built in an Australian/Colonial style and clad in timber with single-glazed sliding sash windows throughout.

A laneway between St Benedicts and a neighbouring property, Fairholme, provides access to the 2.36-acre site to the rear.

All the properties are in an area zoned objective A "to protect and/or improve residential amenity" under the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council Development Plan 2016-2022.

Should the property fail to sell as one unit, Lisney is guiding €6 million for the development site, €1.75 million for St Benedicts and €2.5 million for Craughwell.
