Lucy Connolly of agents Mason Owen Lyons is seeking offers in the region of €100,000 for the lease of a shop at the bottom of Grafton Street.
Cafe Sol had agreed to take over the lease last autumn but was surprisingly refused planning permission for a sandwich bar on the basis that it could “affect the integrity of the surrounding area”.
The shop has a floor area of 47.38 sq m (510 sq ft) and a basement store of 24.15sq m (250sq ft). The rent of €100,000 a year is still being paid by the previous tenant Budget Travel and is due to be reviewed.
